The Houses at 14 Fargo Way, Wauwinet, Nantucket, MA

Located on a bluff overlooking Wauwinet Harbor are two houses:

"Cotockta" the original house on the property is named after the Indian name for the land where it sits. Built in 1972, Cotockta was designed to be a beach cottage similar to the cottages in the village of Wauwinet about a mile further down the beach. The more modern building codes and a desire for something a little more finished resulted in a fun, functional vacation home.

"Cachalot" was built in 2006 on the lot next door to offer a grandparents house while the main house is being used by our growing family. The name is what the whalers called a sperm whale. While meeting most of the historic codes on the exterior, Cachalot was built with a more minimal interior design.
